Abbas A. Anwar, M.D.

AbbasPicture Dr. Abbas Anwar, a native of Southern California, completed his undergraduate training at UCLA where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. He went on to complete his medical education at the NYU School of Medicine, which is consistently ranked amongst the top 15 medical schools in the nation by US News & World Report.  He earned highest honors in his medical school class for clinical excellence and was selected as a member of the distinguished Alpha Omega Alpha honors society.

After medical school, Dr. Anwar completed his residency at the competitive otolaryngology – head and neck surgery residency program at NYU.  For 5 years he trained at some of the nation’s finest medical centers in New York City and served as the chief resident during his final year of surgical training. In addition to authoring several journal publications and book chapters, Dr. Anwar was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion and dedication to service.

Dr. Anwar returned to Southern California after completing residency to become a member of the Southern California Head & Neck Medical Group. He specializes in all aspects of general and pediatric ENT and has special interests in sinonasal diseases and infections, head and neck surgery, otologic disorders, and throat complaints. He is well trained in the latest cutting-edge innovations in otolaryngology including balloon sinuplasty, CT guided sinus surgery, and microlaryngeal laser surgery. He is accepting new patients and takes most major insurances.

Robert J. Andrews, M.D.

RNA Dr. Robert J. Andrews is the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica.  He is a board-certified otolaryngologist practicing at Southern California Head and Neck Medical Group since 1998 and is the Director of the Voice Center of Southern California. He previously served as the Chief of Otolaryngology at St John’s from 2004-2014.  From 2002-2004 he was an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Otolaryngology at the UCSD.  In addition, since 2008, Dr. Andrews has been the team otolaryngologist for the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Dr. Andrews graduated with honors from both Stanford University, where he received his undergraduate degree, and the University of Florida College of Medicine.  He then completed his internship and residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA.  Dedicated to furthering his expertise in laryngology and voice disorders, Dr. Andrews then completed a fellowship in Laryngology and Care of the Professional Voice at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Andrews has been recognized as one of “America’s Top Physicians” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America, by “Best Doctors in Los Angeles” and  “Southern California Super Doctors”.  He has also been selected by “Best Doctors in America” every year since 2005.

As a leader in the medical community, Dr. Andrews has served as President of both the Los Angeles Society of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and the Bay Surgical Society.  Dr. Andrews is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and American Laryngological Association. Dr. Andrews has published numerous papers in peer reviewed journals, written several textbook chapters and has made many national and international presentations in the field of laryngology.  He has appeared on several television programs and in magazine articles as an expert consultant on voice and laryngeal conditions.

In addition to his practice obligations, Dr. Andrews has volunteered his services at the Venice Family Clinic and has made international medical missions to Kenya and Guatemala to provide care to those in need.

David M. Butler, M.D.

DMBBoard-certified both by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology, Dr. David M. Butler has been a partner of Southern California Head and Neck Medical Group since 1988. Respected and revered by his patients and fellow doctors, Dr. Butler maintains active privileges at St. John’s Health Center, where he is a past President of the Medical Staff. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Head and Neck Surgery at the University California, Los Angeles, where he received the Clinical Training Award for his dedication to educating young doctors.

Dr. Butler graduated from New York Medical College with his medical degree, where his professors and peers elected him a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center and served as Chief Resident during his final year.

In addition to his extensive practice experience, Dr. Butler is also a member of several professional organizations, including:

His expertise and advanced knowledge have also posted him to consultant positions for California Medical Review Systems, Inc., Transamerica/Occidental and Value Health Sciences, Inc.

A published author of original medical research, Dr. Butler has been a principal investigator in a national multicultural study of new drug applications for sinus and nasal disease. He has been a keynote speaker at national specialty conferences and in Europe, Great Britain and Asia. Dr. Butler has been featured on The Discovery Channel, Brentwood Magazine, and in other print media. He is annually elected to Best Doctors in Los Angeles, Best Doctors in America, Top Doctors and Super Doctor. Dr. Butler is known as an exhibiting painter of multimedia works, a published poet and short story writer, and he is anticipating publication of his first novel “A Flair for Chaos”.

Chipp St. Kevin Miller, M.D.

Chipp-Miller-MDDr. Chipp St. Kevin Miller is a board-certified and highly esteemed Otolaryngologist with over 30 years of experience treating patients with the utmost quality of care at the Southern California Head and Neck Medical Group and Surgery Center, and as a senior staff member at Saint John’s Hospital and Health Center. His care thrives on patient understanding and participation, as he takes the time to discuss diagnosis and treatment options with each individual patient.

Dr. Miller also serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at UCLA School of Medicine, and has served as Residency Instructor at Santa Monica UCLA Hospital and as Mentor for the UCLA School of Medicine, where he has shared his skills and expertise with residents, interns, and medical students. Dr. Miller has received the Distinguished Teaching Award from the Division of Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA Medical Center.

As one of the leading Otolaryngologists in the area respected by patients and peers alike, Dr. Miller has been repeatedly recognized as one of the “Best Doctors in America”, as one of “America’s Top Physicians”, and one of “Los Angeles’ Best Doctors”, as chosen by his peers and Los Angeles Magazine.

Dr. Miller received his medical degree from the University Of California Los Angeles School of Medicine, before completing his residency training in Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California Los Angeles Medical Center. Dedicated to his field, Dr. Miller’s specialty training included studying Pediatric Otolaryngology at Los Angeles Children’s Hospital. Actively involved with the local and medical community, Dr. Miller has served on the Cancer Committee and for many years served as Chairman of the Head and Neck Surgery division at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Miller is certified by the American Board Of Balance Medicine and has served on its Board of Directors.

Dr. Miller continues to conduct clinical research in sleep disordered breathing and snoring. He holds a current U.S. Patent on a unique oral breathing device for snoring. Over the years, Dr. Miller has honed his expertise in a variety of ear and hearing disorders and also holds an active California license as a Hearing Aid Dispenser.
